About Us
The Peak District is the UK’s oldest National Park — a landscape of moorlands, dales, farmland and villages that holds a special place in the hearts of millions. But like protected landscapes across the country, it faces real and growing pressures: from climate change, habitat loss, and threats to the Park’s heritage, to barriers that prevent many communities from connecting with it.
At the Peak District National Park Foundation, we fund and deliver projects to:
- Protect our peatlands: some of the most degraded upland peatland in Europe
- Restore habitats and restore nature: creating bigger, better and more joined up habitats, and supporting biodiversity
- Connect people and communities to nature: ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to experience and care for our National Park
- Improve access: repairing degraded paths, improving access for people with disabilities and helping more people enjoy their right to roam.
- Protect the Park’s heritage: protecting irreplaceable heritage sites shaped by over 10,000 years of human activity

About the Role
This role is broad and varied. You will look after a mixed portfolio of supporters and prospects and take the lead on building a pipeline of potential supporters, creating high impact proposals and pitches, and building long-term meaningful relationships with grant makers, businesses and individual donors.
Just as importantly, you will grow a genuine community of supporters who feel personally connected to the Park – through appeals and other ways for people to get involved – and you will have the opportunity to explore and develop new fundraising streams to support the Foundation’s long-term sustainability.
We are looking for a talented individual with excellent relationship building skills and a passion for the Park to enhance and maximise the fundraising potential at the Foundation. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated, proactive and imaginative fundraiser to make real impact and drive growth.
We want our team to reflect the communities we work with, and we know that people from lower-income backgrounds, disabled people, and people from ethnic majority communities are currently underrepresented in the environmental sector.
