Community Development & Projects Officer

18 hours per week (3 days, Mon-Wed ideally)
Salary: £26,858 FTE / £13,064 actual salary
The Broomhall Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and approachable Community Development & Projects Officer to join our small team.
The role will involve working directly with local residents, volunteers and community groups to encourage participation, develop community activities and support a range of projects at the Centre. A key part of the role will be supporting volunteer development, community outreach and engagement, including elements of our current projects.
You will help organise community activities and workshops, support and develop volunteers, build relationships with local organisations, engage residents and help identify new opportunities for the community. You will also contribute to project monitoring, feedback and reporting.
We are looking for someone who is friendly, proactive and well organised, with good communication skills and experience of working with communities, volunteers or community projects.
This is a varied role offering the opportunity to make a practical difference to local residents and contribute to the development of The Broomhall Centre.
