Cancer Information Support Officer (based in Sheffield) £26,340 (pro rata) 14.5 hours per week Ref 050625D
This could be two part time roles or one role working for 29 hours per week working across Doncaster and Sheffield
Fixed Term Contract until May 2027
Age UK Sheffield is looking for an Information Support Officer to help ensure that older people affected by cancer receive the information and referral to onward support that they need to live independent and fulfilling lives across Sheffield and Doncaster. This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the leading charities working with and for older people.

The successful candidate will enjoy taking responsibility, with good IT skills, highly organised and comfortable working to targets. You will be a people person, driven by high standards and ambition to make a difference. You will have excellent communication skills, experience of the welfare benefits system and a good understanding of the information and support needs of older people. An understanding of people living with and affected by cancer will be an advantage.
You will receive training on welfare benefits and will have access to peer hub sessions
The post is part time (working days to be agreed with the postholder)
