Activities Coordinator

This part-time position will be responsible for developing and delivering a programme of enriching activities for local young people aged 16-25 that promote positive wellbeing, social connection, and a sense of belonging. This is a hands-on role with a good degree of autonomy.

The successful candidate will be instrumental in the design and development of the activities but we anticipate them focusing on the following themes:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Movement
  • Healthy relationships
  • Gaming and media
  • Enterprise and skills
  • Political education and civic participation

As a youth focussed organisation, the candidate will work closely with colleagues and  young people engaged in our other services as well as gathering insight from wider sources to inform how the activities will be shaped and how we are addressing the wants and needs of local young people.

In year 1, the primary focus will be on designing and delivering a programme of mostly free activities, with a look to introducing some fee-based activities, events and workshops in years 2 and 3 to ensure programme sustainability. We will be exploring how to ensure the majority of activities are accessible for all young people, e.g. through subsidised or tiered ticketing models.

This is a part time role on fixed term contract until 31st March 2029. The salary will be pro-rated to the part time hours.
